Giardino Di Vasi... The Potted Garden...

My potted garden is thriving... Tomatoes and herbs along with Roses and Hydrangea,  Lavenders and sages.  Lovely and fragrant.  I have so many tomatoes on the vines which are healthy and relatively pest free,  for now anyway.  The few English Roses that I brought with me in the move are happy here at the new place .  Although they all live in pots, they are pretty,  happy and blooming... which makes me happy... I have ordered another favorite that I did not bring with me...
The Generous Gardener should be here in a week or so.

Fai Da Te Per Primavera... A Springtime DIY...

When one of our unusual winter storms blew trees down, Mark and Tami found themselves with lots of firewood as well as plenty of trees to slice up into chargers.  When they asked if I wanted some I of course said "yessss"!  I didn't have a plan,  but,  out of nowhere I decided that these chargers needed to be embellished... and so I did!  I had all of the flowers in the potted garden and just started playing... the result made me very happy.  Glueing  with modge podge then using shellack to seal the flowers gave me the look that I was looking for.  In the end,  the flowers are more muted than they were when I started,  but I like it just the same...  I've made four but plan to make more.

Fai Da Te Per Primavera... DIY For Springtime...

I asked Jody if she would show me how to make the Mosaic Shovel and Trowels that she made a while ago.  We set off  on the hunt for pretty plates to use in our craft...after finding a collection of plates  that we liked,  along with old shovels that we each had on hand, we got together and did our craft.  It was fun seeing the pieces come together to make a unique garden ornament. I have been enjoying some crafting lately and am feeling more like myself after the move... finally.  A little crafting and as always,  lots of cooking and baking makes me feel like me.

A Little Garden Time... Un Po Di Giardinaggio...

Enjoying some time in my new sort-of garden.  Being limited to a potted garden,  but I can still have fun. It is a little different ,  it will be interesting to see how it evolves,  especially this Spring.  Fingers crossed...

Primavera… Springtime…

After having houseguests for a month,  I am finding it difficult to get back on track.  It seems like so much has happened in a short amount of time.  I'm feeling rather disoriented and not like myself.  I suppose being sick with a terrible cold for a week,  followed by Jim's Mom's passing is very much contributing to how I am feeling. Having put off Mom's birthday celebration until we are all well has also not helped the situation.  In the meantime,  I will try to find my creativity bone,  and come up with some Easter inspiration and 95th Birthday celebration  ideas for Mom.

Incontri Primaverili… Springtime Gatherings…

Food, friends and family… lots of that around here lately.  Dining al fresco is always the choice,  even with this unseasonably cool spring weather.  A chilly Memorial Day came and went,  and summer is almost here… hard to believe … not quite ready for that.
