Pasticceria... Pastry...

Spending time in the kitchen is always a favorite pastime,  and making Pastry tops my list of favorite things to bake.  So flaky and decadent,  I love it so much,  Pie's Tarts, Cookies, Breads and Biscuits,  sweet or savory,   all of them... so good.

Piaceri Autunnali... Autumn Pleasures..

It's that time of year... everyone thinking of Pumpkins and Squashes,  Colorful Leaves,   and cool breezes.  Here we can only dream of cool breezes and brightly hued trees... it has been a very hot early Fall,  but happily,  it cooled of just in time for Halloween. I'm in full Autumn mode in the kitchen,  making old favorites,  and thinking up new seasonal recipes...

Preparando Per Pasqua… Getting Ready For Easter…

There is something so sweet about Easter… The bunnies, the flowers,  the pastel colors… adorable,    they all inspire me to make something sweet and lovely.  I haven't been decorating for holidays as much as I used to like to,  but,  definitely enough to be in the spirit of things.  Egg decorating,  always a must for Easter,   and  always a little different each year.  Making cookies with Giu Giu has been fun… This year I am enjoying garden shades for my eggs,  and decor…along with some pastels… of course…

Dolcetti… Cookies…

Made some Vanilla Bean Shortbread to take to Tami's annual cookie exchange party… Love shortbread,  so I made two different cookies with it,  one plain,  the other I filled with Pasta di Mandorla.  The hard part is trying not to eat too many during this high calorie  Holiday Season…
