Tiramisu Per Vincenzo… Tiramisu For Vincenzo…

After a two month stay,  Vincenzo heads back to Italy.  We shared lots of good family meals,  for which he was very appreciative.  When I asked him what he would like for dessert on his last night  he said , "Tiramisu "… So that's what I made.

Candele… Candles…

There always seems to be wax left in the bottom of filled candles … too much to waste.  I dug the wax out,  remelted  it,  and filled pretty containers that I had on hand… They will make nice gifts…

Piaceri Autunnali…Autumn Pleasures…

Enjoying Autumn colors…   it's been so warm,  but,  finally, it seems to be cooling off and the Liquidambar Tree is showing signs of Fall… still mostly green ,  but also with some scarlet, gold, and orange.

Carrying the Fall colors into a table setting for a birthday lunch  for a good friend, along with a pretty, Pumpkin Spice Cake.

This season is passing quickly, and soon the colors of choice will be red and green,  but for me,   not until Thanksgiving passes…

Giocando Con La Pasta… Playing With Dough…

Kind of like play dough for adults…A  Wheat Sheaf,  and  a Grape Cluster… A simple and pretty decoration for a party buffet table…

Can't believe our little girl is 23!  Baked Alaska Birthday Cake, and dinner with the family and a few friends… we had so much fun… no time to take pictures!

Nel Giardino Autunnale... In The Autumn Garden...

I haven't been doing as  much in the garden as I typically do,  but it's still looking ok.  Planting some Ornamental Cabbages in Fall is a must... The fountain Garden area is happy,  with lots of Arugula, Rainbow Chard, various Herbs,  Lavender,  and Artichokes.  The Roses continue to bloom here and there , and there are lots of pumpkins around... and my favorite garden statue stands ready for Halloween!
