One of the best and certainly the most fun dinner I had during my entire vacation , was had at "Patrizias of Brooklyn" on Staten Island. The food was unexpectedly delicious, and the atmosphere was lively and so much fun. Each baked dish was done in the wood fired oven… Zia Lina, Angelo, and Pina had been there before, and know the owner … I had no idea what I was in for that night and didn't get shots of all of the great food.
A twelve course meal that was absolutely delicious ….

ReplyDeleteMy niece lives in New York, and she said it's soooo cold during the winter months. I have seen pictures at Christmas time with all the snow, and it looks so pretty. Your pictures really captured the heart of New York. I'm not much of a seafood person, but that lobster and pizza are calling to me. And that dish with the mushrooms looks delicious.

I am a native New Yorker and live on Staten Island! So nice that you visited us. I have not eaten here, but based on your recommendation, I will make sure I get there soon. I am leaving Friday night for a week long cooking class in Tuscany. My dream vacation for a very long time. My 3rd trip to the motherland!
ReplyDeleteNew York Italian...almost like Italia herself, Mary! I ate Italian three out of five nights, when I traveled to Manhattan on business. I wish that I had the opportunity to eat at your family restaurant.
