Fiori D'Inverno... Winter Flowers...

The "Benjamin Britten" roses are still wanting to bloom ,  but it is time to prune all the rose bushes back... The weather has been so cold this week,  colder than I can ever remember, mid 50's daytime temperatures...

I love their  pinkish red color and their sweet,  sweet scent...

The ornamental cabbages are looking good , they love the cold...

Purple is definitely a favorite color in the garden....
but I love to have  Pink Cyclamen as Valentines Day approaches...
This ornamental cabbage with the soft pink center is my new favorite,  with its gorgeous veining in the sage green leaf combined with the pink is just stunning ... another one of natures masterpieces...

  2. Oh each picture is lovelier than the first - these are WONDERFUL shots!

I have never had the cabbage plants but would love to have them, to bring some life to the sleeping plants all around us here.

The roses are incredible, can almost smell them! Beautiful!

  4. Mary,
Your flowers are beautiful. The roses made my heart sing. I can't believe they are all so bright with color still, especially the purple ones. Thank you for your heartfelt comment about my mom, and I am so sorry to hear you lost your dad too. I also lost my sweet dad over 20 years ago, and they are both in my heart always. Oh, I love your new Header! It is perfect for Valentines Day, which is my second favorite holiday. I always leave here with a smile every time I come and visit you.

  6. Thank you for sharing your beautiful flowers! Those of us in the cooler climates are yearning for color in our gardens. I lost my ornamental cabbage at first frost. Mary, I have never seen a Benjamin Britten rose. They are beautiful.

  12. Hello Mary!
I wanted to stop by and thank you for visiting and wanted to send you an email but you are listed as "no reply comment". I thought perhaps you were unaware. Of course some bloggers wish not to add email for personal or privacy issues, and this may be your choice.

Your photos are lovely and you obviously are a great chef :D The chocolate dipped macaroons look divine!

If you were unaware, please consider adding your email to your profile. It has to be IN your profile. I think you'll be amazed at how many more friends you meet and make if they are able to email you. My strongest blog bonds have come via emails and normally I don't respond more than once to "no reply" because it is so time consuming. (Many bloggers will never even visit a "no reply"). I do however answer every comment that comes with an email.

I very much enjoyed my visit and apologize for the NRC info but I had no other way to contact you <3
