Cose strane ma belle nel giardino... Strange but beautiful happenings in the garden...

The Zucchini are enormous ,  and the pumpkins think it's Fall...

Funny how you can look right into the garden and not see something...  So I guess that's how a few Zucchini grew into monstrous proportions... One is 20" long and weighs 12 pounds!

My  91 year old Mother with a giant Cabbage...

Beautiful, almost black Hollyhock...  always fun to find lovely surprises in the garden...

  3. Ciao Mary, ma queste zucchine sono veramente incredibili, non ne ho mai viste di così grandi! Bella la foto della tua mamma con il cavolo, molto tenera. Grazie per essere passata a trovarmi, a presto :-)

  5. Dear Mary, your Mom is adorable and so lovely....looks not a day over 70....God bless her! The zucchini is huge! We Italians have many ways of cooking them, so there are never too many.! I wish I had more sun in my garden to grow vegetables....I manage some herbs like parsley and basil, but even they are so tall and spindly....too much shade. The potting bench was designed by me, but my husband did all the sawing, I also am pretty good with a hammer and screw driver!! We are very occupied right now with the renovation and move, but things should ease a bit in a few weeks...always love to hear from you...baci, N.xo
