Fine D 'Estate... End Of Summer...
I keep saying that it just hasn't felt like summer to me. We haven't had extreme heat, which will probably come later as usual, when everyone else is enjoying turning leaves, and Fall weather. But lately, since I love Fall so much, and am keenly tuned in to the changes that the seasons bring , I am feeling that Fall is coming soon. I'm not quite ready, but happily looking forward. Gardening has been great, except for the stress of thinking that I may not get too many Pumpkins this year. Nursery people have told me that the lack of heat may be the problem. I am taking very good care of the plants and am determined ! Feeling the need to change some things, I decided to paint the Iron Chandelier outside... Green... for a change... it will be nice with the colors of Fall and the Garden.

Love your pics- and that chandy is amazing. It's colour is awesome.
ReplyDeleteHello Mary... I too am so looking forward to Fall!... we have had terribly extreme temperatures here all Summer long, today it is 100 degrees once more... too hot!... and our water is rationed now, so all my plants are sooo thirsty!... wishing for rain soon!... love love love your green chandelier and your home in the background looks so gorgeous... hope you get LOTS of pumpkins!... when we had our little farm, I grew hundreds of them, big and little, the orange ones and the white "ghost" pumpkins... now I do not have the room, but I love going to the big Pumpkin Patch in our countryside and picking my own... they have squash and veggies for sale too and it is surrounded by huge Sunflowers... a favorite Autumn day for me always... xoxo Julie Marie
ReplyDeleteThe pink rose is beautiful, Mary. Oh yes, I think you made a good choice when you decided to paint the Chandelier green. It's a lovely color, and will go nice in the Fall. That's Nel's favorite color.

Your garden looks so fresh and beautiful. The heat here in Idaho has dried most of mine out to a crackle! Your roses are stunning!
