Couldn't let summer go away without making at least one Peach Pie. This one is a Peaches and Cream version. I whipped up a little cream cheese with a touch of brown sugar , some cinnamon and spread it on the bottom crust, then topped it with the peaches. Yellow and white peaches , so sweet , but I did add just a touch of brown sugar, dotted it with just a little sweet butter, and topped it with my decorative top crust ...
It's too pretty to eat, but I am sure that I could work around it!

Mary,
ReplyDeletePeach pie is always a favorite of mine. That top crust has such a nice design. By looking at the last picture, it seems like it turned out perfect.
Have a nice Labor Day weekend.
Love,

Mary,
ReplyDeleteI would like to put your blog on our side bar as "lovely blogs," and I was wondering if I could put La Bella Vita, as the rest is very long, or would you prefer I put the whole name? Please let me know because I think your blog is so pretty, inspiring, and unique.
Love,
~Sheri

This top crust is amazing! I had a raspberry peach crumble this summer that was a favorite, and I thought I would NEVER mix anything with my beloved peaches. This pie looks like it would now be my favorite :D
ReplyDeleteMy jaw dropped at that pie crust!! I know the time and effort it takes to make one as special as yours! Thanks for sharing the idea of the cream cheese in the bottom as I have not done that. And the butter? My grandmother always baked her pies with bits of fresh sweet butter. No wonder she was such an amazing baker!
