Che Bella Giornata… What A Lovely Day…

We had the best Mother's Day … Jim,  Nicola,  Priscilla,  and  Nick made us a beautiful dinner at  at Anna and Nicola's . We moms were not allowed to do any of the work,   so we just relaxed  and enjoyed a beautiful sun shiny day.  It was a special time together,  and we're so grateful to have Mom with us for yet another Mother's Day.

Ombrellini... Little Umbrellas...

I saw this idea somewhere and thought it would be a cute embellishment for a Mother's Day Cocktail or upcoming Friend's Birthday Lunch Cocktail.  It was easy to do and only required a few items to put together...  Purchased Crocheted Doilies,  Fabric Stiffener, Skewers or Popsicle Sticks,  Glue and a few Glass Beads.  I started by completely covering the Doilies with the Fabric Stiffener,  placed them on parchment to dry. Once dry,  I cut a slit from the edge to the center of the Doily,  shaped it to form an Umbrella,  then glued it .  I then glued  the stick onto the Doily and topped it with a Glass Bead.
Very easy... very cute...
