Giardino Invernale... Winter Garden...

It's time to start thinking about springtime planting.  I'm always a little behind on this,  but i'm trying to think ahead.  There are lots of "naked" plants out here,  but plenty of green and little things popping out of the ground...

The grass is pale,  but not bad for Winter...

Topiaries could use a haircut...
The Flowering Pear Tree is blooming and reminds me that Spring is near...

  3. Mary,
Your garden is simply beautiful. I am looking at the purple and white plants and wondering if they are flowers? I smiled when I saw the lion fountain because LIONS are my favorite animal. You have done a wonderful job outside, and have given me inspiration to work on my own garden.

  4. Hello Mary, your garden and fountain are so, so beautiful! I love to see the beautiful kale growing in your beds. My garden is still under the snow but soon it will be peeking through it.

  5. Oh, wow!!! :D Your garden is so pretty....even in winter! I love your little birdbath in the first photo and the fountain. I'm already thinking ahead to spring, too, but unfortunately I don't have a pretty garden like yours....our property slopes at a 45 degree angle, LOL! But I do like to plan my containers. :D

  6. Just found your blog. Oh my goodness everything is so beautiful, especially the food! My mouth is watering and I am not even a dessert person as a rule . . .well, unless they are REALLY SPECIAL desserts, and yours all appear to be that way.

  7. Of all the countries I studied landscape design, Italy was the most important.

It's in every garden I create.

  10. Is that your garden? Oh my goodness!!!! It's fabulous!!!! I love the ornamental cabbage. Our winter hasn't been too terribly cold so the grass stayed a bit green. I don't like brown in the landscape so I am so happy when the green starts popping out. xoxo
