I like to hang Roses, which are past their prime, upside down to dry, either in the Shed or in the Kitchen. They don't keep their vibrant colors, the delicate petals' texture changes, the colors become muted ... They go from soft and delicate to dry and rustic, and take on a different kind of beauty.
Thought they would look nice made into a Rustic Valentine Heart...
I love your dried roses! Very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day!

Mary,
ReplyDeleteYour rustic heart is so charming. The purple shows up so pretty in it. My son gave me a dozen red roses one time, and afterwards, I hung them upside down to dry, as you did. They were a treasured gift that I kept for many years. Your Header is starting to look like spring.

Beautiful rose decor! I think those dried roses would look great in a wreath.
ReplyDeleteTo answer your question from our Mardi Gras post, beads are really easy to get (the wholesome way ;-) in New Orleans during Mardi Gras. People throw them off their balconies generously, and they are all over street car lines, trees, and the ground. They are even sold in all the stores for cheap prices. You should visit New Orleans some day if you can. It's a lively and beautiful city! Have a great week ahead!
