Sapone Fai Da Te... Handmade Soap...
I like the idea of making soap, but not the idea of caustic chemicals... So , I "made " soap the easy, non scary way, by simply buying soap base and adding pretty petals and essential oils. It was easy to do and I liked using my own combinations of favorite fragrances... like, Lavender and Thyme. Marigold, Honey, and Oatmeal was my inspiration from a favorite magazine. Using baking molds that I already had was handy. Instant gratification... that's me!

How wonderful your beauty bars look and I bet they smell even better.
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to challenge myself in making soap and have never took the time, I guess it's due to super friends who make it and then gift me a bar or two. She will use whole goats milk in hers making them organic, and natural in every way :)
Love your vignettes you have created with your soaps.
Happy beautiful weekend to you.

Mary,
ReplyDeleteThis is very interesting. I bet the Lavender one smells so pretty. I love the mold that you used. This would make a lovely gift for the holidays. And I like the fact that you didn't use chemicals when making them.
Happy October!

Loved the way you displayed your soaps. Now I know what to do with mine! It is an easy recipe I agree and one I'll probably keep making. Thanks, for as always, inspiring me :)
