Nel Giardino… In The Garden…

It was a  beautiful weekend… A Birthday celebration for me,  with wonderful family ,  great friends,  delicious food,   and gardening…I also spent a little time making flower arrangements for a Wedding Shower that Tami  was giving for her cousin.  We knew what we were looking for,  went to the flower market,  and found gorgeous white hydrangea , blush colored roses, baby's breath and larkspur.  The arrangements were simple, and summery .

Una Torta Per Giu Giu… A Cake For Giu Giu…

Somehow,  Giu Giu's Birthday Party with girlfriends got postponed until now… She and Isa planned the party,  Red Roses were Giu Giu's idea,   and I offered to make the cake.  Very fun to make this adorable Mini… Giu Giu and her little girl friends loved it…

For Dad,  who taught me how to cook… and for Jim,  a wonderful father to our daughter,  and to my brother,  and brother's in law, and all the other fathers in my life who love to eat and cook… Love you all… Happy Father's Day…

Il Giardino Cresce… The Garden Grows…

The garden is happy… I've been planting fewer seasonal flowers,  just to keep things a little less labor intensive… The garden has "good bones",   which more and more  will give plenty of color,  and lots of green.  The raised beds are growing , but,  not as quickly as I would have expected.  Planting lots of Sunflowers,  and,   as I do each year,  hoping that I will be successful with my Pumpkins.
